The Stress Test

The HPA Axis and Stress Function test is an easy way to check your body's stress levels. It uses a simple saliva test to measure your cortisol levels throughout the day, including the important morning surge known as the cortisol awakening response (CAR). It also measures your levels of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) in the morning and afternoon. By comparing the levels of cortisol and DHEA, the test can give you insights into the balance of your body's stress system. This is an at home saliva test. This is always done in conjunction with a detailed health questionnaire and is interpreted by a qualified practitioner in a one to one consultation to make sure you get the most from your results. This is included in the cost of the test.
