Please discuss your requirements with a practitioner before ordering a test.

The test involves collecting multiple urine samples throughout the day, typically over a 24-hour period. These samples are then dried on a special card for analysis. The DUTCH Complete test measures the following aspects: Sex hormones: It assesses the levels of hormones such as oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and their metabolites. This provides information about hormone production, metabolism, and potential imbalances.

Adrenal hormones: The test evaluates markers of adrenal function, including cortisol and its metabolites. Cortisol is a stress hormone that plays a crucial role in the body's response to stress and regulates various physiological processes.

Melatonin: It measures the levels of melatonin, a hormone involved in the sleep-wake cycle. Melatonin helps regulate sleep patterns and plays a role in overall circadian rhythm.

Organic acids: The DUTCH test also includes an assessment of organic acids, which are metabolic by-products that provide insights into nutrient deficiencies, oxidative stress, gut health, and neurotransmitter function. The DUTCH test offers several advantages, including the ability to assess hormone levels and metabolites, providing a more comprehensive picture of hormone patterns and fluctuations. It also provides information about how hormones are metabolised and processed by the body, which can be helpful in identifying potential issues and guiding treatment strategies. The results of the DUTCH test can help identify hormonal imbalances, and give insights into potential underlying causes of symptoms. This test can be used to assess hormonal imbalances at any stage, from pre to post-menopause, including if you are on HRT (please book a call to discuss before ordering). It may offer insights into hormonal related symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, brain fog, low libido, PMS symptoms and mood swings. This is an at home urine test. This is always done in conjunction with a detailed health questionnaire and is interpreted by a qualified practitioner in a one to one consultation to make sure you get the most from your results. This is included in the cost of the test.
